Daniela Schackis, Deputy Director General for SSM Governance and Operations at the European Central Bank, was a guest lecturer in the International Finance lecture at FAU WiSo.
She presented the origins and role of the Single Supervisory Mechanism in the European banking system. Using concrete examples, she illustrated both the workings and the challenges of European banking supervision. She emphasized the current and future role of IT and AI tools in making banking supervision more effective, efficient, and resilient.
To close her lecture, Daniela Schackis introduced the wide range of career opportunities at the European Central Bank. Thanks a lot to our alumna for her visit and great insights!
